A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM JON -- January, 2002
Dear Friends
First, I extend warm wishes for a healthy and happy new year. I know I hope for what we all hope for, peace. I pray we get it. I look forward to the new year with optimism and excitement. My kids' birthdays are in January. Katie will be 16 and behind the wheel. Don't even ask me how I feel about that. Ryan will be 18 and will graduate from high school early, after working hard at the JC here this summer. Two big rites of passage right off the bat. In February, Valentine's Day to be exact, I will be on To Tell the Truth. Check your local listings and see if you can guess which one is the real Jon Provost! And don't forget to check my PERSONAL APPEARANCES page for updates. I'll be in Houston in January, Washington state in March and more to come! Work on my autobiography has really progressed. My wife, Laurie is an ace detective, finding long, long lost people from my past. It's been amazing to hook up with them again. This week, she found ROGER NAKAGAWA, my costar from "Escapade in Japan". We hadn't spoken for 40 years! And in December, she finally located TODD FERRELL, "Boomer", Timmy's best pal. We'll have news and photos of them next time. And my beautiful friend and fellow child actor SUSAN GORDON found me! She was surfing and came across her photo at my 13th birthday party. She's had six kids since then! But she's returning to acting. Check her out at www.susangordon.info. The whole process of my book is a great experience and I'm very excited about it. I hope TIMMY'S IN THE WELL will be out for Christmas this year. Stay tuned! Speaking of books, I am very flattered to have been asked to contribute my thoughts about our country to a book that Hugh Downs is putting together for the first anniversary of the WTC tragedy. I feel privileged to be part of it. I am sad to tell you that I lost my mom last October. I thank all of you who sent messages of condolence. She and Dad were married almost 60 years. He is doing well and we, along with Fran and William, are grateful for all your good wishes. We'll miss her forever. I have included some photos of her on a new RECOLLECTIONS page, along with some behind-the-scenes shots from "The New Lassie" with some old friends I think you'll recognize. One last thing, I recently discovered some official LASSIE items that are no longer being made. I can offer a few here in very limited supply. When they're gone, they're gone. So check out the link on the AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOS page or click here. Laurie and
I look forward to celebrating our third year of marriage. We really enjoyed

this year. Stay well. Sign the GUESTBOOK and
